Dantes,
You're not on your own on this one. I wrote the Society asking them this very thing: http://www.watchtowerletters.com/Third_letter_to.html
after the flood, were the alligators in the days of noah known for their mountaineering skills when coming down from ararat ,?.
and how did the polar bears get back to the north/south pole,?.
and how did the koalas and kangaroos get back to australia,?

i'm going to start a project.
i'm going to do a paragraph-by-paragraph rebuttal of as much watchtower literature i can get my hands on.
i've been inspired by v's watchtower comments, so i'm going to do the same with books and brochures.
Let me know when you get to the Insight Book headings Noah, Flood, Deluge and Ark. I've got some "annotated versions" lying around in my office already...
so, this is related to this thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/152239/1.ashx.. i have a copy of a public talk from this elder.
his first name is definitely phil, but his last name....i can't quite make it out.
olesina?
Good info, everyone. I appreciate it.
Good ol' Ciro will have his very own YouTube video within a few weeks!

Wow...ask and you shall receive!
Thanks for the info.
we have seen that they are cracking down on skipping boasting sessions.
i have seen that thread stating the three f's (fever, fracture, funeral) as the only valid excuses for missing one.
and there are reports that the book study hounder will hound people for missing one.
I was getting ready for bookstudy once when a friend called and asked me if I wanted to go see Austin Powers with him.
"But I have bookstudy tonight," I told him.
"Okay, let me tell you what you'll miss if you don't go to bookstudy - the Pharisess say somethign to Jesus, then Jesus points out why they're wrong, then you'll read the same account four times from each gospel."
So I missed the meeting to go see a movie.
That friend, by the way, is an elder now.

I have a copy of a public talk from this elder. His first name is definitely Phil, but his last name....I can't quite make it out. Olesina? Olesema? Alaseno? Not sure. During the course of the talk, he says his wife's name is Lolly (Loli? Lali? Again, I can't really understand it). He's a Bethelite, and the talk I have was recorded in Delaware. Can anyone help me out?
If you know the actual spelling of his name, or what capacity he holds at WTower headquarters, I'd appreciate it.
I'm going to put highlights (lowlights?) of the talk on YouTube, but first I need some information.
It's a doozy of a talk, by the way. One of my relatives sent the talk to my sister, thinking it would "bring her back", but instead, she ejected the CD from her stereo after five minutes and couldn't listen to another minute of it. She told me she couldn't believe she used to believe all that 'junk'. That's when I asked for a copy of the talk.
Thanks in advance.
the reason why i ask is this:.
i recently was given a recording of a public talk given by a "representative of the watchtower society".
i want to post some of the highlights on youtube, but first i want to make sure i get this guy's name correct.
Okay, I will. Thanks.
according to my friend, an elder said he could count 4 hours a month and a bible study if he talked about jehovah to his 2 year old son.. this would go some way to getting in his 10 hours a month as the elder said to my friend "the co won't look at anyone whose hours are less than 10.".
ridiculous eh?.
When my son was 11 months old, some of my Witness relatives asked if we were studying with him yet. When we said we were not, they tried to give us added incentive by adding: "You know, you can count that time."

The chairman says his first and last name, and the representative himself says his wife's name, but I can't quite understand what he says. I'm hoping I can post what I think his name is to see if any of you have heard of him.
Is that okay?
I've seen posts before here where people have posted names, and it seems some don't like that. I'm not looking for confirmation on this man's name so that I can lambast him, I just want to make sure I get his name right.
i would like to write the wbts a letter and ask a question..one that maybe confronting in regards to their doctrane.... .
what would be the address?..........
and has anyone written before on confronting issues and recievd an answer.....?.
GrewUp and fatFreek-- Thanks for the support! Getting back to the subject, I think that as long as you write in such a way as it doesn't sound like you're trying to corner them, then you should be okay. Try to write the letter as if you are confused or looking for clarification on a matter. Write with sincereness and, if you can stomach it, enclose a small donation - that will ensure some kind of response. As FatFreek noted, it is good to keep your annoyance of them down to a minimum, too!
